1 Connected, but alone?

  • we can be lonely, although we’re connected (social media)
  • we use Social Media, because we can be heard (if we put it out there, SOMEBODY is going to read it) - while in real life, we have the feeling that we aren’t listened to, because people just use their phone during the conversation
  • “Alone Together” means being physically together, but only selectively paying attention to each other. When we don’t want to pay attention, we spend time on Social Media.
  • We should create sacred spaces without social media (no phones at the kitchen table for example)
  • We’d rather spend an evening with social media than with friends (at the pub)
